We’re Working with Make-A-Wish to Brighten the Lives of Some Brave Kids

make a wish pennsylvaniaSummer is finally here, and we hope that all our valued customers are enjoying the warmer weather. Spending time with family and basking in the warm Pennsylvania afternoons make all of us realize how lucky we are.

With that in mind, we at Koppy’s Propane believe that giving back to the community is so important. That’s why we’re launching a new initiative to do just that.

Introducing Koppy’s Make-A-Wish Truck

Koppy’s Propane is proud to be contributing to the Make-A-Wish® Foundation with our Make-A-Wish Truck propane deliveries.

We are donating to the Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley chapter for every gallon of propane delivered by our Make-A-Wish truck. When you request fuel from this truck, you contribute to the mental and emotional well-being of children with critical illnesses.

Together, we’ll make dreams come true for these brave kids, their families, and their communities.

Wake-a-Wish Foundation’s Vital Work

The roots of the Make-A-Wish Foundation began in 1980 when a 7-year-old Phoenix boy named James Greicius was battling leukemia. He wished to become a police officer someday. The Arizona Department of Public Safety worked with people in his community to help him be an officer. James got a custom-made uniform. They swore him in and took him home on a ride in a police helicopter.

James’ wish was the first of hundreds of thousands of wishes to come. Make-A-Wish children have been firefighters, bobsledders, interior designers and figure skaters. They’ve met sports stars, superheroes, Presidents and unicorns.

In the 40-plus years that Make-A-Wish has existed, its work has proved crucial for sick children and those who care for them:

  • Fulfilling these wishes has given children more resilience to fight their conditions.
  • These experiences improve their mental and emotional outlook.
  • They provide treasured, formative experiences for the child and their family and friends.
  • This work unites communities toward positive goals.

At Koppy’s Propane, we want to do whatever we can to help this important, transformational work.
